The Filipino Health Initiative (FHI) operates in a rural barangay in the Philippines, where access to medical care is extremely limited. The majority of residents are of indigenous descent and face significant barriers to healthcare due to their remote location and economic challenges.
Founded by Dr. Maria Santos and her team in 2010, FHI started with basic medical consultations and health education sessions conducted in makeshift clinics.
